The session will focus on translating the insights from earlier sessions into practical, place based actions, with a specific emphasis on implementing and understanding the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Suicide Prevention Strategy. This will include identifying priority actions, strengthening accountability mechanisms and ensuring that community-defined priorities are reflected in system-level change, ensuring that community voice remains central to implementation.

This session will focus on how cultural identity, practices, and ways of knowing are not “add-ons” to service delivery, but protective factors that strengthen wellbeing for individuals, families, and communities.

CORES is designed to be delivered by the community, for the community. By building shared knowledge and confidence, this training strengthens local networks and creates a collective safety net — where more people are equipped to step in before crisis occurs.
